Term Dates and Bell Times

2020 TERM DATES FOR STUDENTS

Term 1	Wednesday 29 January – Thursday 9 April
Term 2	Monday 27 April – Friday 3 July
Term 3	Monday 20 July – Friday 25 September
Term 4	Monday 12 October – Wednesday 16 December

Staff Development Days / Pupil Free Days are held throughout the year and students do not attend school on these days. The dates will be communicated to parents within a reasonable period of time.

BELL TIMES

Our school bell times are as follows:

Morning Bell	8:50am
Recess	Year 4 - Year 6: 10:30am – 11:00am Kinder - Year 3: 11:00am – 11:30am
Lunch	Kinder - Year 3: 12:45pm – 1:30pm Year 4 - Year 6: 1:15pm – 2:00pm
Dismissal	3:10pm

Morning:
Supervision of students in the school grounds begins at 8:15am each morning. It is an expectation that children do not arrive at school prior to this time.

Afternoon:
The school day concludes at 3.10 pm and parents are expected to collect their children as soon as possible after this time.

Car Line Drop-Off/Pickup:
Please note, our staff offer families a car line service to drop off their child/ren before 8:50am at start of the school day, without having to turn off their car. We also offer this service in the afternoon for parents and carers to pick up their child/ren from 3:10pm in a similar manner.

Our office opening hours are Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 3:30pm

OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS (OOSH) CARE

We offer high quality organised before and after school care on-site at St Columbkille's through Big Fat Smile.

Big Fat Smile's Out of School Hours (OOSH) services offer a safe learning environment to build students social, emotional and life skills. They provide educators using the National Learning Framework and diverse staff with a range of specialist and qualified skills. Homework Club is also available, where students are provided support with their homework, if needed.
